In June of 2024, five JCAA members joined a group of artists on an exciting Plein Air Painting Workshop journey through the Tuscan countryside in Italy. They created artwork daily en plein air (capturing surroundings while painting on site). The first few days were spent in the farmhouse accommodations (Cascina) of the lovely, peaceful Palagina agriturismo (agricultural farm that also houses guests) in the glorious hills outside of Florence.

The artists then traveled to spend the remaining days exploring and painting in the charming towns of Siena, Montalcino, San Gimignano, Pienza, and Bagno Vinoni! This is a collection of a few of the artworks created from that magical experience!

Ave’ is an artist in love with beauty. She is primarily a painter with a passion for drawing. This show highlights her figurative work both in oils and charcoal. She recently relocated her studio to Grass Lake MI From ART634 in Jackson MI. Her new studio is an exhibit space as well as a work space. Open by appointment.
